This is the style I want to shoot my interviews in. I like the intimacy you get from the close up shots with the black background and the sharp lighting.
I think it’s a good choice Lucia; I think this style will really suit your work.

Thoughts on next year’s project
I’ve had an idea for my body of work for digital media next year.
The idea is based around interpretation of other people’s experiences and the way that we may imagine events that have occurred in other people’s lives.
When someone tells a story that is interesting enough to be re-told it is very easy to take a bit of creative licence. Sometimes this is purely accidental; at other times more interesting factors are intentionally added to stories, especially in cases where the new listener will not have an opportunity to find out if the story is true or not. This new listener may take this story and change it, or miss interpret it and tell it to someone else creating a real life game of Chinese whispers.
I will interview people about their experiences which I will interpret through the medium of stop motion animation. My aim will be to distance the final work from the original stories and interviews by taking some creative licence in my interpretation.
Stop motion animation is my chosen medium; what I animate with will be dependent on the stories I collect; options include: clay, models and other objects. At this early stage I intend to make several short works (a minuet or less in length) and the animation materials may change from piece to piece.
I am inspired by Aardman’s Conversation Pieces. In Conversation Pieces people doing everyday things were recorded and the animators who did not know the original context animated something to fit the audio (this was later taken further by Aardman in the form of Creature Comforts, a series in which animated animals were interviewed, the audio came from interviews with real people).

Unlike these Aardman animations I don’t intend to use recordings of people talking nor do I intend to do any lip-sincing. Instead I want to use simple background sound etc. and focus on animating the actions.

Atheists, they pretend they don’t know that other atheists pose as Christians and say stupid things to make Christians look bad.
I know I should probably stop rage-reblogging you because I’m sure you’re trolling way hard, but your logic…makes no fucking sense.
Okay, let me spell out the obvious. Those comments were not written by Christians. They were written by people, probably atheists, pretending to be Christians, hoping to make Christians look bad. Make sense?
Yep. its all a big conspiracy.
No. It’s just atheists being the typical lying losers that they are.
As opposed to loving, all-knowing Christians like you?
I know that there are plenty of hateful christians (and other people) in the world and some people who actually have these oppinions but this has troll written all over it…
Oh yea, I know it does, but this guy clearly doesn’t.
I usally presume that most people on the internet are trolls, but you are probebly right…some of them have to be non-trolls :P (edit: and some of them don’t get trolls)
